The visual identity doesn’t reflect New York City or the color and depth found in the museum’s exhibits, events, and collections.

MCNY is a cultural institution that educates, inspires, and strengthens cultural identities.

The rebrand for the Museum of the City of New York (MCNY) aims to create a dynamic and cohesive visual identity, positioning the museum as a leading voice in preserving and interpreting the cultural and historical narratives of New York City.
Little dreamer is a kinetic typface inspired by a childhood spent in a Georgian Village.
It comes in two languages: English and Georgian

This logo symbolizes the literal and metaphorical foundations of the city; Its growth and progess.
The different colors symbolize the diverse groups that fit together to create New York.
The open box invites us in, leaving space for us to add our own block.
